Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
